Miriam is a renowned occupational and pediatric behavioral specialist, an award-winning author, and a highly sought-after lecturer. Her groundbreaking book, The Parent-Child Dance, has transformed the lives of countless families.
With over two decades of professional experience and as a mother of five energetic boys, Miriam's expertise is unparalleled. She is a Level 4 Tomatis listening therapy consultant and a certified Therapeutic Listening™ Provider. She is a certified MLD practitioner and has advanced training in Neuro-Developmental Treatment, Sensory Integration, Attachment Theory, and Reflex Integration.
Miriam is trusted for her unique ability to demystify challenging childhood behaviors. She developed the Thrive Method, a cutting-edge approach that leverages clinical reasoning to identify the optimal intervention for each child, blending a creative array of research-based techniques. This method is used in her three practices in Passaic, NJ, Brooklyn, NY, and Lakewood, NJ.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miriam launched an innovative online platform, making her wealth of knowledge and effective tools readily accessible to parents. Following overwhelmingly positive feedback, she introduced BLOOM (now OTIYP), a comprehensive resource hub supporting parents through every stage of their child's development.
Miriam is also a consultant for the Mental Health Occupational Therapy program for multiple Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHCs).
